Flowers

We did our flowers at the Hy-Vee off of 151st Street and Black Bob. The woman’s name was Cathy, and she knew her STUFF. I showed her my Pinterest inspiration, and she immediately began writing down the flowers by name without having to look them up. I was impressed.

There was one stressful moment that ended up being fine. They delivered the flowers a day early, so when we arrived for the rehearsal, we saw $1000 worth of flowers just sitting on the table. No-one emailed or called to ask what was going on and why no one was there to accept the flowers. I checked my emails and the dates were correct in our correspondence. Fortunately, it was a day early and not a day late, and the church was able to refrigerate them so they still looked gorgeous for the day of.

Lillies for St. Joseph, roses for Our Lady, tiny flowers for the Little Flower of Lisieux my patron, and a big mix of wild flowers for me.
